I still think the original mini series of Stephen King’s ‘IT’ is the best one so I’ve painted Tim Curry’s Pennywise here. The remake is OK (at least I think it is, both my wife and I dozed off halfway through it!) but the 1990 version seemed a lot more credible somehow.
Bits in the remake that especially bugged me was the kid at the beginning stating that he never takes sweets from strangers and then in the next scene he’s climbing down into the sewer to share a hot dog with a clown! Even funnier was the bullying gang leader who stands stock still so a rock hurled across a river can smack him squarely in the head!
