Twice Told Tales was the first anthology horror film I ever saw and it’s still one of my favourites. This painting is of the first segment ‘Dr. Heidegger’s Experiment’ in which Heidegger discovers an elixir that gives both him and his best pal (Vincent Price) their youth back and also brings his long dead wife back to life. Sadly, ice water immediately gets piddled on this momentous moment when Vinnie lets slip that not only had he been bonking the good doc’s missus but he poisoned her as well!
