This was done in a single 12 hour session and after it was finished I took my dogs for a walk and nearly passed out in the nettles! Whether it was the turps or just the intense concentration I can’t say but these Alla Prima pieces are certainly tougher to do than paintings spread over two or three days. More profitable though!
