I’ve got to admit that I’d never seen a Paul Naschy film before painting this cover but now that I have I wanna see ’em all! Paul was obviously a huge Hammer/Universal Monsters fan and also enjoyed sprinkling a few mucky Spanish women (although on this cover she’s Japanese!) into the mix so Mondo Macabro naturally thought of me when they needed cover art.
This was a particularly challenging assignment, not because I find werewolves and oriental ladies especially difficult but because it’s the first time I’ve ever painted a woman with panties on!
