For an actress that had all the looks and class of Ava Gardner, Mara Corday really had to slum her way through some pretty dire fare during the fifties. The Black Scorpion, The Giant Claw and this week’s selected favorite ‘Tarantula, must all have left Mara wondering why she ever gave up her job as a showgirl. Fortunately, she’s now hit the big time as it’s her turn to be featured in my excellent (!) Dark Side column as we rip the p*ss out of Tarantula!
