Suzi Does The Gate

You may have noticed that I’m restricting myself to one painting a week. This is because my wife thinks I’m painting myself to death and has insisted I ease up a bit. Mind you, if I’d had the sense to hold a few originals back instead of flogging ’em all she might be a bit less devastated if she rolled over in bed and found me dead, although at my age she might find it difficult to tell!
But enough talk of my wife waking up with a six foot stiffy, let’s discuss Suzi Does The Gate! One upside to working in a more leisurely manner is that each piece is finished a bit better so respectable collectors who prefer nicely rendered oils as opposed to paintings which boast imprints of my face after I passed out in them should soon be investing in exquisite Rick Melton’s like this!
Then again, considering the subject matter, they probably won’t!
