Salem’s Lot might just be the best vampire movie ever made. I read some interesting stuff on a horror film forum recently where a bunch of middle aged guys were sharing their first experiences of seeing this TV movie back in ’79.One chap described how his dad insisted that his son ‘man up’ and sit and watch the film with him. Of course, the poor kid wet himself and added that he never managed another full night’s sleep until Regan left the White House! Someone else replied “Me too! My dad did the same thing. Once that boy started clawing at the window I was done. Pants totally shat.”
Brilliant stuff!
