Poster Girls Day Of The Triffids

The first thing I always paint in my Poster Girls series is the model, which takes about six hours, then the monster and background which take about the same. Finally comes the poster, which takes for friggin’ ever! Yep, those little posters are a real pain in the bum to do, not just because they are hard to render in oil but also because there’s nothing more tedious than copying another artist’s work. Well, being forced to watch Eat, Pray, Love with your wife or attend a Michael Bolton concert (also with your wife) is equally tedious but you get my gist!
