Pete And Yvonne The Mummy

I’ve always liked this old black and white still of Yvonne Furneaux and Peter Cushing from The Mummy and figured it would look even better as a nice, rich oil painting. I really should do more of these early Hammer films because they contain absolute stunning imagery thanks to the incredible sets and the way they were lit. I have of course, painted just about every Hammer Horror ever made, plus most of the Universal, Amicus and Tigon movies, so I figured I better climb out of that niche’ before you all got bored with it. However, the cost of sending books to the States has gone up so much that I’m having a rethink about doing another load of Suzi paintings for SUZI SCREAMS AGAIN. Frankly it’s ridiculous that my U.S. customers will have to pay nearly 50 quid for a 20 quid book so maybe it’s time to cut back on the smut and go back to tackling some classic horror! My old Mum would have been so pleased!!!
