“All exploitive art should look like it’s been knocked up at 5am by some wasted bum who once had talent but is now seriously on the slide.”

Nightmare At 20000 Feet

The Twilight Zone was something of a sappy series back in the 60’s, awash with cloying sentimentality and unfortunate happy endings. Because of this my parents were always quite happy to let me watch it alone in my room. Then this episode came on and neither my cocky opinion of the show or my pyjamas were ever the same again! Yep, I literally peed myself. Revisiting the episode for this Dark Side cover made me realise what a sissy I must have been back in ’63 because the monster was a dead ringer for Bungle the Bear!
