Madeline Smith was probably responsible for levitating more boxes of popcorn off cinema goers laps in the 70’s than any other Hammer Films actress. I can certainly remember choking on mine when she ran giggling around the bath tub with Ingrid Pitt in The Vampire Lovers, although that was partly because the Ritz popcorn tasted likepolystyrene peanuts! Ingrid sadly, is no longer with us but Maddy is still going strong and looks a million dollars. Getting bitten on the boob by the ol’ Pittster obviously pays dividends!
