“All exploitive art should look like it’s been knocked up at 5am by some wasted bum who once had talent but is now seriously on the slide.”

If you read the description on my Jason Vorhees listing you’ll know that I wasn’t too keen on taking on this job. For starters I’d never heard of Kolchak and secondly the monsters on the show looked tacky even by 70’s standards.

But I was wrong. Sure, the critters ARE tacky but that just adds to the charm because the series is so well acted and written. In the end I really enjoyed painting the cover of issue 194; which is a good job because it took forever to design and paint the bugger!
