I snapped this detail of my wife’s portrait when I was about halfway through painting it because I knew it would lose something when I started ‘prettying’ it up. As it stands here there’s sensuality combined with that ‘all hell is coming’ look I’ve grown to love and fear after all these years! For a straight forward oil painted portrait like this I charge about £300
