Back in 1968 Bob Nuttycombe offered me ten shillings if I'd draw him a really mucky picture of Veronica Carlson. Sacrilege! Veronica is an absolute goddess way beyond this sort of filth and as such I wouldn’t demean either her or myself by accepting Bob’s proposition. I did stick him for half a crown for one of Alexandra Bastedo but that’s by the by. Miss Carlson might not be as iconic a Hammer star as Ingrid Pitt but she’s every bit as talented and beautiful and a much better artist than me!
