One of the drawbacks of being an exploitive artist is that the subject matter can take some shifting in its original guise. My most twisted pieces are usually snapped up by trashfiend Darrin Ventcinique who's been rabidly collecting Rick Melton originals for about 5 years now. I understand that he happily hangs smut like Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS all over his dining room which explains why Darrin's dinner guests rarely look up from their tagliatelle and don't hang around for the pudding!

Darrin is no fool, though. Classic exploitation pieces like Attack Of The 80 Foot Woman might have been hurled into dumpsters back in the 50's but they are priceless today. I'm not saying Cannibal Hookers will be afforded the same status but traditional artwork of this nature is getting rarer and rarer and its value will increase over the next few years.

Another plus is that in most cases publishers have paid for the images so the originals are 50% cheaper than they would be otherwise. Of course, none of these paintings are remotely commercial so it's a good job I have been paid for the images! Having said that, Darrin has emailed me photos of his elegantly framed collection and I'm staggered how beautiful they look on his walls. Trouble is, I've cleaned the poor sap out and now my wife's Clinique budget is down to the bone so contact me quick and buy something!!!
